1. Stooshe ‘Black Heart’ moves up to BBC 1Xtra’s A-list

    Stooshe’s upcoming single ‘Black Heart‘ has been moved up to the A-list on BBC Radio 1Xtra.

    The news comes a day after sister station Radio 1 announced the track had been placed on their B-list. ‘Black Heart‘ is also on the A-list of BBC Radio 2 – the most popular radio station in the UK – which combined provides a good platform for chart success when the girls’ single is released on June 17.

    Stooshe’s latest single ‘Black Heart‘ has been moved up to the B-list on BBC Radio 1.

    The song continues to grow in popularity on BBC Radio, having already made Radio 2′s A-list and the B-list of 1Xtra. ‘Black Heart‘ is to be released through Warner on June 17, and with its current radio play it looks set to be another hit for the Stooshe girls.

  4. DJ Q ‘All Junglist’ listed in Dummy Magazine’s best 20 music videos of 2012 so far

    The video for DJ Q’sAll Junglist’ has made Dummy Magazine’s top 20 music visuals of 2012 so far.

    The Hub Entertainment’s 1Xtra DJ made #18 on Dummy’s list, which you can see HERE. The video for ‘All Junglist’, directed by Jasper Delamothe, can be seen above.

  5. Mistajam gives Mac Miller ‘Loud’ Remix its first 1Xtra play

    Mac Miller’s new ‘Loud’ remix was given its first play on 1Xtra on Mistajam’s Monday show.

    The remix featuring Benny Banks could be heard on BBC Radio 1 for the first time by Zane Lowe, but at the same time Mistajam was on his 1Xtra show with the simultaneous exclusive play, which you can hear HERE.

    The original ‘Loud’ is taken from Mac’s free mixtape ‘Macadelic’ and has over 7million plays on YouTube. ‘Macadelic‘ can be downloaded HERE.

  6. Mac Miller’s ‘Loud’ Remix premiered on BBC Radio 1



    BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe played a world exclusive remix of Mac Miller’s hit ‘Loud’ on Monday.

    The Pittsburgh rapper discussed the remix, which features UK rapper Benny Banks, when he visited Zane’s show on 22 May, and you can hear the DJ (pictured with Mac above) play the track – in a simultaneous exclusive with 1Xtra’s Mistajam – HERE (at the 42min 50sec mark).

    The original ‘Loud’ is taken from Mac’s latest mixtape ‘Macadelic’ which is available for free download HERE.

    Ashleigh Ball has spoken to BBC South East Today on making the GB hockey squad for London 2012.

    The Hub Entertainment’s hockey star Ashleigh Ball has spoken on making the GB 2012 Olympic squad in her latest blog for The Metro.

    As well as expressing sympathy for her team-mates that didn’t make the cut, Ashleigh spoke on her preparation for the first game and GB’s medal prospects.

  9. Marcus Bronzy to cover Nick Bright’s 1Xtra show

     

    The Hub Entertainment’s very own Marcus Bronzy is to deputise for Nick Bright on his BBC Radio 1Xtra show on Sunday 17 June.

     

    Marcus has previously covered Bright’s weekend Breakfast show on several occasions – most recently on May 5 – and so when Bright was asked to cover the CJ Beatz show later on that day, Marcus was an obvious choice to step in. Be sure to tune into BBC Radio 1Xtra from 7am on Sunday 17 June!

  10. Mac Miller visits Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1

     

    Mac Miller stopped by BBC Radio 1 for an interview with the infamous Zane Lowe. The 20-year-old rapper visited Zane’s Tuesday show during his promotional run for his ‘Blue Slide Park’ album, and the 20-minute chat covered a range of topics from the honesty in his lyrics to working with UK rapper Benny Banks.
